DAY012 understands as networks continue to grow and upgrades occur equipment becomes unused and underutilized which can be costly. Consolidation of network elements or replacing existing assets with newer equipment to support service demands and migration efforts to new technologies is a necessity and DAY012 is fully capable of delivering a complete decommission solution.

Decommission Services

  • Project Planning. Perform Site Surveys and develop detailed de-installation, removal and relocation plans along with documentation: Scope of Work (SOW), Method of Procedure (MOP) and Inventory List.
  • Equipment Removal. Properly shut down and de-install equipment in the following critical environments: Cell Site, Central Office, Data Center, Mobile Switching Center and Hub Site.
  • Data Capture and Sorting. Detailed equipment audit capturing all relevant asset information including serial numbers, condition and asset tags.
  • Logistics Coordination. Stage, package and schedule transportation for specialized equipment for the safe removal of assets.
  • Redeployment. Redeploy decommissioned equipment to support networks in different customer site locations.

  • Monetize surplus assets. Generate cash for surplus assets through asset sale, revenue share, and/or credit/trade structure.

  • Offset services cost. Utilize hardware value for surplus assets to offset decommission services cost to reduce OpEx.

  • Recycling. DAY012 is R2 certified to recycle assets that will not be reused or do not have resale value.
